Steam Systems

Just as important as the corrugating equipment is the steam and condensate system that supplies the wet end equipment. Kadant Johnson has formed an alliance with Donahue & Associates International to provide steam and condensate systems to corrugators in North America.The Donahue Steam System uses solid engineering supported by more than 20 years of field experience working in the corrugating industry. To ensure your steam system is designed optimally, Donahue first evaluates your existing system including the boiler room, corrugator, plant heating and other steam-using equipment. After the evaluation, a Donahue Steam System is custom-designed for your total plant.  Economic justifications are provided and installation is managed by Donahue & Associates.The basic features of the Donahue Steam System are:

• All steam vessels on the corrugator receive steam directly from the boiler - no surges
• Warp is reduced and the finished board is firm - ready for finishing
• Steam loss is near zero
• Condensate return from the system is at least 90% with the shower steam design
